Intentions

Happy New Year! It’s 2012!!! Are you ready for one of the most significant years in the history of humanity? As I prepare for our exciting January Visioning Retreat, I am called to reflect on two aspects of manifestation:
1. To clarify your path for 2012
2. To leave space for the present moment

I’ve been studying the art of manifestation for about fifteen years now, and I can vividly remember one of my first experiences where I actually manifested a dream within a very short time.

Truth, Love and Freedom

This week’s writing is about love, an essence that studies have proven to be a requirement for human life. Love is also this week’s theme for advent, if you’re celebrating Christmas.

Say YES to life

The following is an excerpt from my book, which I am writing as a memoir about my journey of awakening.

India is a wild and sacred place that possesses the Great Mother archetype everywhere. She heals, she destroys, she holds space for great suffering and she knows the unknowable. Every time I visit, I cry when I arrive (out of fear), and then I cry even harder when I leave, as I know I am leaving a part of myself behind. When in India, I am held in the womb of the Great Mother.

Prayer

One evening last week, my girls and I were chatting about the different kinds of people in the world. I shared that not everyone has the same loving family system that we happen to be born into. I also told them that when I hear about a child who is living in a hard situation I send him/her love through my thoughts.

"Plant the seeds"

“Plant the seeds you want to see blossom in your life.” said my friend Heather in conversation last week, quoting her grandfather. Her story is so inspiring, that I thought I would share it with you this week.

In our teacher training program, we spend a portion of the December weekend reflecting on our desires for the year to come. The great philosopher Krishnamurti coined the term “choiceless awareness” to describe the mind state of being open to our infinite potential. This requires us to quiet the voice of doubt that can put an instant damper on our dreams.

Growing Pains

Growing Pains

“And soon the day came, when the risk it took to remain tight in a bud
became greater than the risk it took to blossom.”
Anais Nin

2012 Calendar Message

Jenny’s message for 2012, taken from the annual Breathing Space Yoga Studio Calendar:

As I read over my message for the 2011 calendar, I chuckled at the memory of thinking that my program writing for schools was complete. A year later, I have just finished my sixth program, publishing two of them with Thompson Educational Publishing Inc.
